How to Post to Social Media from Claude or ChatGPT (MCP Guide)

Add PostAllFeeds as a connector in Claude or ChatGPT, approve access once, and your assistant can see your social accounts, upload media and draft, schedule or publish posts. It takes about a minute, and you never hand over a password.

What MCP is, in one paragraph

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard, first published by Anthropic in late 2024, that lets AI assistants use outside tools. An app publishes an MCP server with a list of tools, and any assistant that speaks MCP can call them after you approve access. Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and Windsurf all support it today.

For social media, it means you stop copying captions from a chat window into six apps. The assistant that wrote the post can also put it on your accounts.

What your assistant can do

The PostAllFeeds MCP server gives assistants these tools, among others:

• list_social_accounts: see which TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Bluesky and Mastodon accounts you connected.
• upload_media_from_url and create_upload_url: attach a video or photos from a link or a file.
• create_post: save a draft, schedule a post, or publish it now, with a caption and settings per account.
• list_posts, update_post, publish_post: review what’s queued and change it.
• get_account_analytics: pull follower and view numbers to decide what to post next.

Set it up

First create a PostAllFeeds account and connect your social accounts. Then add the MCP server to your assistant. The server URL is the same everywhere:

Claude (web and desktop)

1. Go to Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
2. Name it PostAllFeeds and paste the URL above.
3. Press Connect, sign in to PostAllFeeds and press Allow.

ChatGPT

1. Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced and switch on Developer mode.
2. Choose Create, name it PostAllFeeds, set authentication to OAuth and paste the URL.
3. Sign in to PostAllFeeds on the page that opens and press Allow.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http postallfeeds https://api.postallfeeds.com/mcp

Then type /mcp inside Claude Code, pick postallfeeds and approve in the browser.

Cursor, VS Code and Windsurf

Add the URL as an HTTP MCP server in the editor’s MCP settings, then sign in when the browser opens. The setup section on our homepage has the exact config snippet for each editor.

Prompts that work

Talk to it the way you’d brief a colleague. Some examples:

• “Draft a post announcing our new pricing for X and LinkedIn. Keep the X one under 200 characters.”
• “Schedule launch.mp4 from this link to YouTube and Bluesky for tomorrow at 9am Berlin time.”
• “Turn this blog post into a LinkedIn post and a short Bluesky thread opener, and save both as drafts.”
• “What’s scheduled for this week? Move Thursday’s post to Friday at 10.”
• “Which of my videos did best this week? Write three post ideas in the same style.”

Staying in control

Letting an AI touch your public accounts should come with guardrails. These are built in:

• Drafts by default. The assistant saves drafts unless you clearly ask it to publish or schedule. Drafts wait in your dashboard with a Publish button.
• Daily limits. Posts made through the API and MCP are capped per day, so a confused assistant can’t flood your feeds.
• No passwords. You connect each network on its own sign-in page, and the assistant only gets a token that you can revoke from the dashboard in one click.
• TikTok stays manual. TikTok requires creators to review and confirm each post themselves, so TikTok posts are made from the PostAllFeeds composer, not by an assistant.
